Faraclett cottage

Whether you are interested in archeology, bird-watching or just want to get away from it all, Faraclett Cottage is your home in the Orkney Islands.

Located on the island of Rousay, nicknamed “The Egypt of the North” for its archeological importance, Faraclett Cottage provides a comfortable base from which to explore the Orkneys’ 5000 year history.

Within easy distance, you will also find RSPB trails, beaches, nature trails, seal-watching spots, loch fishing and much more. Set at the heart of a working farm, children will be delighted with the lambs grazing right next to the cottage while adults might prefer a quiet dinner on the deck overlooking the sound and not-so-distant Egilsay.
